Joni Stehlik is a researcher and pioneer in egg freezing, keeping Connecticut Fertility Associates at the forefront of technological advances in egg freezing and storage. She has an extensive background in cell biology, cytogenetics, and molecular biology, and has worked as an embryologist and IVF laboratory technical supervisor for the past 17 years, leading the operations of several successful human embryo laboratories. Joni has gained international recognition for her vitrified oocyte research and is responsible for the first deliveries in the U.S. from this method.
Joni graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry, and attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison while working toward her PhD in Genetics prior to joining our team. Joni is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB), and College of American Pathologists (CAP) as an Inspector and participant.
